Sounds like sour grapes to me....

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, has said he wouldn't accept some of the recovery act money.

Barbour claimed that accepting money in the unemployment portion of the plan would force Mississippi to raise unemployment insurance rates in the future. He called it......
.....a "tax on employment"
This is another example of how the conservative, republican mind works.
Unemployment pay, worker compensation, social security, unions....free and open elections.
Anything that may benefit the average person, but is a inconvenience to business
they will fight against. Open your eyes to the pattern, follow the money.

This Ass put the people in his state in the position where they may be without unemployment benefits so he can make a political point.

States like Mississippi have given businesses huge tax abatement's to relocate there.
Whats wrong with asking those businesses to pay unemployment insurance to help the people they throw out of work?
Why is it the republicans can always find money to throw at big business, but a dime can't be found for the average person in need?
